5 walks in Samos

Uncharted off-road routes.
Visit traditional mountain villages.
Taste the well-known Samian wines and specialties.
Collect herbs, photograph wild animals and panoramic scenery.

The island of Samos despite its numerous beaches, consists of two imposing massifs with countless trekking paths. In those, less known to tourists paths, is where our hiking adventures take place. An intense as well as unique trekking experience in a scenery that contains dense forests with high trees, wild rocky terrain and roads cut by streamlets. On our way we will find and get to know herbs and wild animals that exist in Samos.

Except for the pathts, we have the opportunity to visit mountain villages where we will meet with locals, their culture and their cuisine as well, with the famous Samian wines accompanying our meals. The routes are feasible by anyone who has a good fitness level. Their average duration is about 4 hours. There are sufficient stops for rest, panoramic photos or a snack in the forest. A plunge in the sea, will often remind us that despite the mountainous landscape, we are still on an island with amazing beaches.

Route

Together we explore the most unapproachable spots of Samos. We cross the mountains, enjoying nature. We will come across traditional mountain villages, wild life (hares, chameleons) and vegetation (herbs, flowers), caves, small churches (some of them built in caves) and springs in our way. Everyday we will “recharge our batteries” under the trees or by the sea, as well as by the swimming pool of our hotel.

Support

No need to worry regarding your transportation to and from the airport of Samos, as everything is arranged in advance. On our route, we also plan to have sufficient stops for everyone to follow and in case of an emergency we always carry extra water and a first aid kit, plus there are more than two guides depending on the group size.
