📌We begin this tour with an informative trip to the wine museum and wine tasting beside the impressive mature barrels. Appreciating the fresh floral aroma and rich body of the sweet wine from the oldest domesticated variety of grapes known in the world, the Muscat grape.

 

📌We continue on to explore the mountainous region of “Ambelos mt”, to witness the skillfully constructed stone terraces called “pezoules” on the lush mountain slopes that are characteristic of the Aegean viticulture.

 

📌On the way we make our second visit to the second visitable winery of the island and we taste the labels of Vakakis wines and we learn about their special approach between wine - tradition - culture.

 

📌We keep the best part at the end with a visit to the mountain village Platanos, a truly authentic village whose an exceptional natural environment and a big tradition of winemaking.
